Connect internet enabled game consoles, streaming devices, Smart TVs, etc. to the Wesleyan network

Introduction

Connecting internet enabled devices to the Wesleyan Campus Network

Wesleyan has a unique WiFi SSID specifically for connecting Xbox / PlayStation game consoles, streaming devices, Smart TVs,  etc. to the Wesleyan network.

*Please do NOT bring wireless personal printers to campus. Wireless personal printers cannot connect to our campus network and the devices disrupt Wifi connectivity for other supported devices.

Instructions

To connect your Xbox / PlayStation (PS4 / PS5) game consoles, streaming devices, Smart TVs,  etc. to the Wesleyan network:

From your device:

  1. Select the WiFi SSID: cardinal_devices

    2. Enter Password: gowes!!!

Please be aware that devices joined to this network will be placed on the Wesleyan guest network.  This WiFi network exists solely for the purpose of connecting internet enabled non-computer devices (Xbox / PlayStation game consoles, streaming devices, Smart TVs,  etc. to the Wesleyan network)

  • For security purposes “cardinal_devices” will not allow most laptops or desktop computers.
  • In order to have access to campus resources such as printing, software, etc, all laptop and desktop computer devices should be connected to the Eduroam WiFi newtork

If you have any problem with non-computer device connectivity please submit a ticket to ITS with “cardinal_devices” in the description.
