Scanning - PaperCut Integrated Scanning at Wes-Find-Me-Printers devices

The sections below describe available options when using the Scan function at a Wes-Find-Me-Printers device.

*Please see the Additional Requests section below for scanning directly to custom destinations.

PaperCut MF Integrated Scanning allows for simple and secure scanning after swiping your WesID. The major advantages of PaperCut scanning:

  1. Document processing - after scanning, PaperCut's cloud services will securely process the scan for text recognition, also known as Optical character recognition. (OCR) This enables searching the scanned PDF for keywords using Adobe Reader. (or any other PDF viewer)
  2. Cloud storage integration - automatic upload to your Wesleyan-associated Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.

Scan to My Email

This option will send the scan to the email associated with the logged in user.

The "Subject" field may be edited to apply a custom email subject when sending. This is useful for inbox filtering and forwarding rules.

Scan to My Email - no OCR

This option will skip PaperCut's cloud services and OCR processing. This is useful for large scans of 20+ pages which may delay completion. (anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes)

Custom Wesleyan Email

Type in a Wesleyan email address, without "@wesleyan.edu", to send the scanned document as directed.

Consider requesting an email to be permanently listed as a scanning destination. (see below)

OneDrive

Scans will be uploaded to the "/Apps/Scans for PaperCut MF" folder in your OneDrive.

*The first time you scan to OneDrive, PaperCut will send you an email to authorize access.

Google Drive

Scans will be uploaded to the "Scans for PaperCut MF" folder

*The first time you scan to Google Drive, PaperCut will send you an email to authorize access.
