Guests are welcome to access Wesleyan's wireless network by connecting to the wes-guest network, and then obtaining access via a self-registration page. This article will show you how to connect to wes-guest. Though the initial selection of the wes-guest network will vary between devices, the registration procedure should be the same.
If you are visitor from another academic institution that utilizes eduroam, you will be able to access Wesleyan's eduroam wireless network upon arrival. More information about eduroam can be found below:
1. You will begin by accessing your device’s Wireless settings, and then selecting the wes-guest network.
2. After you have connected to wes-guest, your device’s default browser or an embedded browser should open and direct you to the page below. If it doesn’t automatically open, open your default browser on your device, and you should automatically be directed.
3) You will need to either create a new account, or log in with a previously created account or event code if you have one.
4) You will be given a username and password. The username will be your phone number, and the password will be a randomly generated six-digit number. This will be valid for one week, and can be used to register up to five devices.
Keep this information handy if you need to reconnect or would like to connect additional devices. Click/tap Log In when you have verified your credentials.
5) Your device will automatically connect to wes-guest. Repeat the process for any other devices you wish to connect (you can connect up to five devices with the set of credentials that were generated for you).
